What’s New in Open Edge Platform 2025.2 (Dec. 11 2025)

As the second official release of the platform, 2025.2 focuses on expanding and solidifying the range of applications it offers.

Robotics AI Suite is now available! The set of reference applications and setup ideas for robotics can now be a used as a source of design ideas and solutions for creating a range of different machines.

Metro AI Suite

This release brings several functional and User Experience improvements, starting with SDK Manager, a new tool making it easy and quick to install Metro AI Software Development Kit components.

An array of Metro AI Suite assets has also been improved, with enabled connectors and extended documentation, such as code optimization and NVIDIA porting articles, as well as tutorials on:

• AI Cybersecurity in Smart Intersection, demonstrating and guiding on the use of built-in security features of Panther Lake. These include: Secure Boot, Full Disk Encryption, Total Memory Encryption, and Trusted Compute. The guide also provides assessed guidance on the performance impact.

• Crowd Analytics Tutorial, on re-using the Metro Vision AI App Recipe components to extend application development to monitoring the length of queues and analyzing hotspots, common use cases for Crowd Analytics.

• Agentic AI Transit Route System tutorial, on gathering multi-modal transit data to generate near real-time route guidance.
